Grenville Dodge - Bill Donaldson as Dodge

Grenville M. Dodge surveyed more than 10,000 miles of railroads, more than any other man in history.  He conceived the idea of the transcontinental railroad and brought the plan to fruition as chief engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad.  He surveyed Berthoud Pass and Corona Pass in 1866 and decided they were not suitable for railroads.  He said "only a damned fool" would try to build a railroad into Grand County.

Bill Donaldson, a long time Colorado resident, came to Grand County in 2003.  He is a musician and self-professed computer nerd.
